Introduction on Westcoast Choir Society

Westcoast Choir Society was officially established in 2004 and registered with government of British Columbia as a non-profit organization.

Westcoast Choir Society has been active in community in the past years. The choir have been invited and performed in many music festivals and events in the cities of lower mainland. Under professional direction Westcoast Choir provides the opportunity to the members to sing in a choir and receive the voice training.

Through producing concerts Westcoast Choir provides the opportunity for both the members and the audience to appreciate choral work and chamber music from classical, Chinese and music by Canadian composers in the community.

As one of the members in our multi-culture community, besides explore the root of our own culture, Westcoast Choir makes great efforts to reach out and bring people together from other cultures.



西岸合唱團, 于2004年十二月向加拿大卑詩省政府立案登記, 正式成立, 為一非謀利之機構.

西岸合唱團以響應政府推廣多元文化為宗旨,活躍於主流社會, 過去一年多來, 經常受邀參與大溫地區各項社區慶祝活動, 並提供歌唱節目演出. 西岸合唱團團員在專業老師的教授指導下, 致力專研合唱聲樂發聲技巧, 習唱中國及加拿大音樂家結合中西文化創作的作品, 通過對社會公開音樂會的發表演出, 不僅僅是西岸合唱團的團員, 同時參與的聽眾, 也一樣領受到西岸合唱團的歌聲, 流暢出中西音樂文化融匯結合的美麗. 身為標榜多元文化的華裔加拿大人, 西岸合唱團的團員竭力以歌聲音樂為橋樑, 讓中華文化融合西方文化, 深入打動人心, 團結以不同種族為號召之加拿大.
